The National Collaborating Centre for Chronic Conditions, based at the RCP, has published a guideline which will help save lives of people with chronic kidney disease. The guideline sets out how best to identify who has CKD; who is at risk of progression and at risk of serious complications, and how to manage their care.

The BTS 12th Annual Congress is to be held at the ACC in Liverpool from 22-24th April 2009. The event will be held in conjunction with the Renal Association Annual Congress and there will be a day of joint sessions on 22nd April 2009 and a parallel day on 23 April 2009.
