Membership of the Society is on an individual or corporate basis. Currently there are over 700 ordinary members who are professionals from a wide range of disciplines, actively involved in organ and tissue transplantation in the British Isles. Membership is open to non-UK residents provided their sponsors confirm an active interest in clinical and / or research aspects of transplantation.

Corporate Members are commercial organisations whose products support clinical and/or research aspects of transplantation.

Honorary Membership is reserved for the Members who have been recognised as "persons of distinction in the field of transplantation" and is awarded solely by the Council.
